Bird Of Prey

Had to complete this project as a part of my daughter's school assignment where a visit to a historic place is a must every month, more of a personal project for me too ,since I have hardly visited any after I got over my school ! Total Shame ! Henceforth not a bad location for an outfit shoot ! Was not prepared for the same but never mind ! Rush is a time to show off your personal laid back ,style—right? These pictures are from Lodi garden ,A tranquil and peaceful park with  numerous beautiful trees ! It is, in fact, a bird watcher's paradise. Here you can see some exotic birds like babblers, parakeets, mynahs, hornbills, kingfishers, and so on(u can also spot them on my shirt BTW(kidding) ! Sheer Coincidence ! The garden also serves as a picnic spot and as a venue for yoga classes that are held every morning. And apparently this happens to be my especial workout place too,coz of the Piquant breakfast I get to hog at the Garden Restaurant after my class ! These collar chains were lying in my bag since I forgot to keep them back the last time I wore them, hence made a nice saving accessory to add drama to my dressed down look !! My nude lips got a swipe of  Dior Holiday palette, and I was ready to pose for my space on this blog !

Stuck on Polkas

It's dark outside early for a reason.And the earth is telling us that it's time to go to bed often, Hallelujah !! Welcome winters ! which means, time for cold feet n fingers, cuddling up in bed till late in the mornings,while slackoff shifting my morning workout, to evenings, coffee right in bed, longing for the warmth of sunshine, soup dates replacing formal dinner dates,having an open air barbeque party with my friends on my rooftop,keeping the wooden stove going..to get the heat ,buy a new pair of gloves after poking a hole through last finger, ! and I can go on...I really admire those who live in areas where they get heaps of snow, along with the freezing temperatures,have experienced it, but am not a Polar bear kind of person ! Its hardly anytime left, when light coats would soon swap places with the woolen ones. Till then, a little sunshine and a Little dress doesn't harm anyone, Isn't it?

Bling Play

I am back after the celebration week,and that too with an outfit post ! Had a crazy Diwali and ate lot of mitahi's and massed a little inches as well,but that's how festivals are supposed to be celebrated ! Although I am feeling a little off base and guilty since I am always my own motivator, but with all the  sweet distractions which I  say that I very easily and knowingly gave into ,have left me feeling so hung up! Saying no to every delicacies  requires a little bit of willpower fuel, and once you spend that fuel(over so many months) it becomes harder to say no. Also have you heard of the Special- The No S diet program by Reinhard Engels,n ? If not then here are the basic rules,or in other words the commonsense approach to it - No Sweets, No Sugar and No seconds(helpings). follow them over the weekdays and break them on days that start with S -Saturdays, Sundays and Special days ! Now this sounds interesting ? Definitely worth trying out for a month ! And in-case you have too heard of this program or benefited from it,do share your experience in the comments section below !
As for the outfit,I love the color of this blouse and the sleeves are just too medieval ! Layered a few necklaces,brought up the bling factor and just rock n rolled for a date out !

Lace And Burgundy For Fall

I am enjoying the long festive weekend,and luckily sunshine decided to bless us with some warmth so it couldn't get better ! Sleepless nights, wine and dine and potluck dinners have been going about much with me and I am busy picking up lots of home decor stuff from the ongoing Diwali mela's around ! I love to change the color/decor of my home every two years, and try to bring out some new creativity and coziness around,and what better way to execute the same during New year's?at least that's how most of us Indians do it ! Don't be surprised if my later posts takes a shift from outfits to how I remodeled my home !  Diwali is the time when Indians bring out the sparkly items of clothing and jewelry - modesty is good, but other than that, we do bring on the bling! Don't we? It's the Indian New Year,  lot of shopping on the cards for a lot of us too, I am sure !
Lace party dresses just gets one into a festive spirit, and looks elegant be it any occasion hence I chose this dressy number for a rocking ladies night out ! The weather is really good during daytime,so I can really think of taking off the layers since It will take it two more weekends  before the cooler winds hits,so why not make the most of it?

Mood swings is a common phenomena Delhi people are witnessing right now,(at least people around me ) and definitely I am one from the lot ! My mood and the weather graph has been going hand in hand n it lifts considerably when the weather is good and drops badly when the weather is gloomy ! And strangely though I just read an article which explains a research that countries which are blessed (if that’s the right word) with bad weather on a regular basis should be more intelligent than those where the sun shines all-year-round as people recall three times much more information on days when their are grey skies than the days when the sun is shining ! Now that's one of a bizarre research I have come across lately? Just a pondering thought , does that mean we should only study on gloomy days ?? If u are aware , Delhi's gloomy weather is a trending topic too on twitter,thanks to all the pollution which has made our skies smoggy, And it doesn't seem too much of a stretch to suggest that this massive pollution might set off its own chain reaction ! Hence PLS DO NOT LIGHT  FIRE CRACKERS this Diwali (biggest Indian festival) !!! And this fog better rest by Saturday, because there are festivities and outdoor pictures to take . So just Hang in here!

Ombre Palette

Today's outfit  is inspired by Cassata,brick like layered ice-creams of different flavors on liqueur soaked sponge,which I doted on during my childhood days !Although it has been ages I indulged in to it,but I am gonna surely do that now, coz this photoshoot just activated my taste buds and old memories! The moment I saw this top, which apparently has all the cassata color palette, I became nostalgic of the days , having it at college canteen and was totally game for bringing this light ombre blouse with me !  Though pastels can be a bit overwhelming, neutral shades provide a fantastic and  fashionable balance, hence I decided to pair this with my white denims(Inspiration chloe and acne ) and some sequins too ! And if you are not ready to say bye -bye to pastels,yet, you can still rock them for fall too ! Here's How:

• Mix up basic fall colors with a pastel color from the same family- (eg- pink +burgundy, pale blue and dark teals, black with sea world inspired colors and so on !
• Pairing them with neutrals always work for the fall look as well ! Remember to incorporate it as an accent color and not the main color of your outfit. 
• Start introducing from bits here and there and see how they look !Add pastels in the form of glossy accessories with dark make-up for the brave high contrast look !
