Shopping Silver Jewelery In Jaipur

Friday, 27 March 2015 /

If you check my Instagram, I got a fancy load of silver jewelry from Jaipur last week. Correction- Hubs got it.I even posted a few updates n pics and here it is- All this and much more was bought at bargained prices from Jaipur.Read on for details.

Its the new way we do shopping these days. Everyone Had been raving about the same, so I thought let me just do a blog post on from how n where you can shop in Jaipur . My Hubs who had been suggesting others, best hotels in Jaipur got a chance to choose one for himself this time. Personally he prefers to stay in a quaint haveli rather than a modern building . His pick of a Royal Hotels in jaipur this time was Mahal Chandela in The heart of Pink city (close to the Jewellery Market- Johari Bazar) I guess his microchip of the past lives must be getting connected with the hard drives of these Haveli's (laugh . Laugh )

Its been a while I personally visited the Pink city, and its really an experience roaming and soaking up the Palace culture.
Here is a list down on Sightseeing and other activities to do while you are in Jaipur :

Visit-
Hawa Mahal- A sandstone in Pink, and five storey Maharaja Luxe. Though its amidst the  bustling street of Johari bazar, but must visit if you like a great view atop.
City palace- If you wanna see an ideal wed-lock of Mughal n Rajputana  architecture, then this could be worth a visit. Please be prepared to do a lot of walking, and waiting to enter happens outside, so make sure you have ur sun protection On.
Amer Fort- Its the major n classic attraction for Jaipur, and a Monument with bespoke Grand, so make sure you don't miss it. I made a visit last year, and the sound and light show is worth the stay back. If you plan to go around sunset, then the View is exhilarating.
Shopping :Shoppers Paradise,- Find Jewellery addicts, and an amazing place to hunt silver n precious stone in bulk , or contemporary art lovers-head to Bapu Bazaar for some great tie-N dye work, mirrored hand embroidery and lots more. Try bargaining, while shopping jewellery ,One of the must buys is the traditional Rajasthani Pagadis which comes in thousands of colours n patterns.Regret it doesn't come with a tying manual, hence do take the onsite tutorial.
P.S- Jewelry bought from GV Gems (johari bazar)
