Hello Everyone - Just a quick update. FDCI has officially announced the dates, for AIFWSS16 in association with Amazon India which is going to take place at NSIC grounds in Delhi from October 7-11 2015.
This is one of the most prestigious fashion event which the city and all the fashion crowd looks forward to. And in this endeavour TheFDCI(Fashion Design Council Of India ) to make it spectacular year after year, the organization conducted a nation wide hunt for female models, at the fdci office in Okhla on 10th september , who would walk the ramp for India's finest designers.
As revealed by TheFDCI team, the response to the model auditions was not only overwhelming,but truly competitive.
Personally if you ask me this time I am looking for a creative foreground of display of fashion, and since every season the pressure to raise the bar a notch up higher always entails, the team had to made sure, that the future ramp scorchers, had what it is required to be a perfect model.
They were judged on the basis of poise, elegance,attitude with an adoration and fascination for fashion to contribute to the show with a lot of zest.
And for the reasons the panel of the following judges who are not only high achievers and are accomplished personalities from the world of fashion , were called upon to have the final word for the model selection to walk the ramp next month.
The eminent jury comprised of veteran designers - Ashish Soni, Rohit Gandhi, Paras Bairoliya and Amit Aggarwal, ace choreographers - Aparna Bahl and Vidyun Singh and VP Fashion -NDTV lifestyle - Ambika Anand.
Together they shortlisted and announced 11 new faces for the current season. It must be a tough decision to arrive at, since I personally witnessed the event, for the first time (if I may add that ) there were about 100 new faces which emerged .

The right model can change everything about a collection – it can help define a brand so it’s no easy task trying to audition .
Team TFF wishes the selected models luck, and hope they set fire to the ramp at this season of #AIFWSS16 .
