"They say that a cell phone is good while a dead cell phone is not " Hear hear all you lovely gizmo lovers, today I will talk about a spectacular phone which doesn't break your bank, and gives you everything you have been looking for in a smartphone.
It all started with Asus calling me asking me to send over my deets so that they could surprise me with a new smartphone. I got a bit excited since I have been using their previous phones ,and I am extremely satisfied with the performance .
The package was delivered, which came inside a lock box not to mention (prior to the market availability). I scanned the note that came along for the codes but there was none. I couldn't open the box to reveal the phone and had to wait for the streaming of the official video in order to get the codes on 23rd may . The video also revealed Sonakshi Sinha making an appearance as the brand ambassador of Asus Smartphones and tablets .

If you have been familiar with Zenfone Max, then let me tell you that it's the advanced version of the old Max and precisely why you need to pay attention.
Bloggers like me are always on the go, and it is the sole reason that we should be always prepared. After all our main job is keeping tabs with the industry and updating trends . We love to be the first to get the cat out about and running and in order to do so , we need power. Well literally power in our fingers and power in our phones.
Battery
Equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, and a powerful Octa-Core processor the Zenfone Max can last longer without charging and is also capable of being a power bank and enable other phones to siphon off its battery while on the go through an OTG cable.
The phone was charged and sent over to me in power mode ever since it left their India office . True to the claim the battery was almost 80 percent when I unboxed the device.
Backed by Android M 6.0.1 and ASUS ZenUI ,the lithium-polymer battery, when fully charged, provides 914.4 hours of standby time or 37.5 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback. Which is awesome. We all need a battery to withstand all-day usage then be it storm or sun without having to worry to always carry a back-up .
Besides all this, there is a power saver mode, and five battery modes and two smart switches , with which now I can customize and configure my own optimum battery usage and save a lot without hitting a warning sign, enough that could last me two days of everything combined above .
The IT Phone for a fashionista :Looking for a device which is more fashionable and works really well with your attire and accessories ? Hunt no more. Zenfone max comes in a sleek design, which is modern yet appealing. The desirable colours - Black, Blue and Orange gives you enough choices to go matchy matchy with your accessories and apparel and make a fashion statement of your own.
The thin body (5.2mm thinnest edge) , with metal trims on the edge and an embossed leather easily blends with my personal style too. Looks like I have an excellent rear cover ON which also protects from fingerprints and scratches.
Memory - From clicking street style from the phone to blogging on the go which you might have noticed by now from my Instagram page , yes I am your excellent multitasker. And I need a phone to back me up on that. Goes without saying, I need a huge storage.Only a big Ram and storage can whiz you through a whole day of taking pictures, and then posting all my day on snapchat . Who else is addicted to snapchat btw ?
Zenfone max is my answer to all this. The new Zenfone Max gives me a super-responsive lag-free user experience because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor with a 2GB or 3GB RAM . The use of the latest 4G LTE technology enables the users to utilize high mobile data speeds. Always enjoying multi-tasking and blazing fast performance enabling me to digitalize my life to the Max..Display - Zenfone max features a 5.5 inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display with full-screen lamination and ASUS TruVivid technology. This not only enables the new Zenfone Max to provide for a superior clarity, brightness and touch responsiveness but the Bluelight Filter cares for the Eye Care and doesn't cause any strain or disrupt the prolonged viewing experience.
Fabulous Camera Shots - I need my daily dose of ootd shots, product shots and my life in bedroom, washroom etc. I capture everything on snapchat and I am upping my game in taking high quality photos, that would put a good DSLR to shame.
The Zenfone Max is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera (flash enabled) and a 5MP front facing
(usually the same in other zenfone products ) with f/2.0-aperture camera with 85̊ wide-viewing angle. Since everything is about the angle right now, a phone which filters enough light at a perfect angle that could make my morning face buggy eyes look nice without adding any filter. The beautification and highlighting features features remains the same, and is billed as complements to the existing zenfone models . I reviewed the last one here .
Sharing a few images in the form of a photo gallery with my new Zenfone max. Now let the pictures speak the rest of the story.
P.S- The images are raw , and have not been edited. Check out the clarity quotient in the selfies in the front facing camera ,

Verdict- If you are looking at a smartphone to fit both lifestyle and budget then this should be your go to phone. Priced at 9999/- this phone creates a perfect balance especially if you live off your phone 24/7/365. Hope this review would help you in taking quick decisions to get your next perfect dream smartphone a bit closer.
